Yes. All volunteers and staff who interact directly with SPAN clients must be trained and pass a background check prior to serving. We conduct new volunteer training & orientation sessions on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. Sessions begin at 10:00 am and last for a little more than one hour. No trainings are conducted on holidays. If you need training on a different day or time, or have questions about holiday closures, please contact our office at (940) 382-2224.

Many of our volunteers serve one day a week for about an hour and a half. We are happy to work with your schedule, whether you are available more or less often.
